Hiii, I’m Courtney.

I’m a wedding and elopement photographer, mama, outdoorsy girl, and probably someone who will always choose the scenic route.

I’ve always been drawn to places that make you feel small — towering mountains, quiet forests, wide-open skies, rushing rivers, and those little hidden spots that make you stop and think, how is this real life? There’s something about being outside that has a way of putting everything back into perspective. And honestly, that’s a big part of why I love photographing weddings and elopements in wild places.

Because I don’t think your wedding day has to be a production.

I think it can be an adventure.

It can be waking up before sunrise to catch the first light on a mountain. It can be hiking in your wedding clothes, stopping for a snack along the trail, running barefoot through the grass, or saying your vows somewhere so beautiful that you forget there’s a camera there at all. It can be intimate, intentional, messy, emotional, laid-back, and completely your own.

And those are the moments I want to photograph.

I’m not interested in creating a gallery that only shows what your day looked like. I want your photographs to bring you back to what it felt like — the nervous excitement, the uncontrollable laughter, the way your partner looked at you, the wind coming through the trees, the people who traveled to be there, and all the little moments you didn’t even realize were happening.

My approach is a mix of documentary storytelling and gentle direction. I’ll absolutely help you when you’re standing there wondering, “Okay… what the hell do we do with our hands?” 😂 But I’ll never want you to spend your entire wedding day performing for the camera. I want you to be present. To explore. To soak it all in. To get a little dirty. To laugh until your stomach hurts. And to make memories that have nothing to do with whether or not they photograph perfectly.

When I’m not photographing couples, you’ll usually find me outside with my family — exploring our little piece of the world, chasing after my daughter, hiking, gardening, wandering through the woods, or dreaming up our next adventure.

I think that’s probably why I connect so much with couples who feel most themselves outside, too.

So if you’re the kind of person who would rather spend your wedding day somewhere beautiful than somewhere expected, who values experience over perfection, and who wants photographs that feel honest and alive…
